SEO Webpage Templates
ACTIVECAMPAIGN
UI/UX DESIGN
Project Overview
When I was on the Brand Team at customer experience automation company ActiveCampaign, I frequently collaborated with developers and content writers to design new web pages. The goal of this particular project was to refresh our existing SEO pages and to create a new webpage template that could be universally applied to all SEO pages. Doing so would not only create more clarity and consistency across existing SEO pages; it would also streamline the process of creating additional pages.
Challenges
ActiveCampaign had published a series of long-form content pages aimed at educating potential buyers and improving overall website SEO and key word use. However, these existing pages lacked consistent typography and layout, contained too many large blocks of text, and were not mobile-friendly. An absence of page templates also made less scalable and repeatable.
We approached the project with these goals in mind:
-
Improve overall readability
-
Make in-page navigation easier
-
Create cleaner, more attractive layout
-
Add Calls-to-Action modules
-
Create consistent templates for all SEO pages
-
Optimize designs for mobile
Process
I started by first identifying all possible types of modules and components needed for these pages; together they would form the building blocks of the new page templates that could be added, subtracted, and rearranged to fit the content needs of that page.
